137. Humour

Sunshine in a cup, but she hates Monday.

What is humour or humor?

"Humour or humor (see spelling differences) is the tendency of particular cognitive experiences to provoke laughter and provide amusement. The term derives from the humoral medicine of the ancient Greeks, which taught that the balance of fluids in the human body, known as humors (Latin: humor, "body fluid"), control human health and emotion." - wikipedia

The basic rule of three of humour is buy putting a twist or a pun to the third element which evokes irrational or emotional response from the audience or listener:

First we think that something is true, based on clues given to us,
But then we are presented with further evidence, which shows that we were wrong,
In fact we were so wrong, that there was something wrong with the thought process that leads to an initial conclusion. And at the end of this process, we feel pleasure. So the flow is:

logical,logical,illogical or
illogical, illogical, logical

We can have humour at any time and in any environment or situation, however some crtics say humour is born that either you have humour or you don't; Yes, to certain extent the statement is true, but this is a very damaging statement.

In my opinion humour is a learned skill and some people who are more outgoing by nature, who are very obeservant with his/her surrounding environment, who are less attached to daily life chores; they tend to produce more humour than others.
