99. People like to listen to praises

Image
People like to listen to good words. As most people like to be praised. They are many rhetorical devices developed to please people. We have street-wise people talking about the middle path. They always talk about middle path, never agree with the extreme scenarios. They always painted a rosy picture even the situation was bad. They would say somethings good to cushion the effects of bad situation. We have people talking about euphemism. A better term for a word, indirect word or phrase that people often use to refer to embarasing or unpleasant. For example: retraining centre instead of prison camp, quantitative easing instead of printing more money, unusual uncertainty instead of weak economic recovery which provides the soothing effect. We have salesmen talking about benefits of products and leave the fine prints for your reading pleasure. We have people talking about other people weaknesses and leave out theirs own short coming. When we listen to only one-sided story. Be careful, so

98. Good Food Choices - ABC

Image
Good food may be contributed to 10% of our longevity. Here I like Vijay Vad MD article on good food recommended list "- Cold water fish - Grass-feed red meat - Free -range chicken and turkey - Flaxseed oil, olive oil, walnut, borage oil - Walnuts, macadamia nuts - Dark-green leafy vegetables - Cabbage, cauliflowers, kohlrabi - Fruits (apples, oranges, berries, bananas, papayas, grapes, kiwi fruit, mangos, avocados) - Whole grains - Green tea, oolong tea, water, mineral water - Organic frozen fruits and vegetable with no added sugars - Spices - Dark chocolate with high cocoa content (70% or more) - Low fat yogurt/s milk, kefir, coconut milk products, rice milk" Life is really simple, but we insist on making it complicated.” - Confucius

97. Why men have more heart attack?

Image
When I look for reasons as why men are more prone to heart attack. I begin to see clues. "According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, several risk factors put men at more risk for heart disease because these risk factors are more prevalent in men. These factors include high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, poor diet, cigarette smoking, lack of exercise and alcohol consumption.' I personally feel that the autonomic nervous system of men are different from women. (Also muscle structure, lung capacity). Hope they are more researchers look into these areas of field work. When men playing badminton, running, swimming or sleep, there are chances that heart attack can hit them. I notice that there are two types of heart attack for men. One is for a group of healthy male who have engaging active sports, who have been taking part in competitive sports. The other group is men who have underlining heart problems. For the first active group, heart attack can b

96. China in your hands.

Don't push so hard, it is no good for ourselves, it is no good for others. Life is fragile. You never know what is going to happen tomorrow. A calm sea can become aftermath of a tsunami. Whether we believe in some religious teachings: Life is suffering, accept it or this world is not my world. However they bring out a point about life; life is indeed fragile, conditioned things are impermanent. Having said that we need to keep optimism in life. Live simple in life then we would be able to manage more stress and be less worry. I wish we could put N ew Y ork, Lon don in our hands. I was told that the name of Nylon was originated from combining Ny and Lon. In life, Nylon symbolises strong, toughness and resilence. "When you follow your own dreams you are putting Nylon in Your Hands. When you follow other people dreams you are putting China in Your Hands." - Simon Kong

95. It is hard to believe we were born different.

Image
I wish we were born the same. It is hard to believe that we were born different. I can see we were born differently in three aspects: 1) We were born genetically different, 2) We were born in different countries ie Sweden or Nepal, 3) We were even born differently within a family. We live in different environments and the environments influence our behaviours. Did we share with the same values when we were born? We did not share with the same values but we can cultivate common shared values; values we believe in. Values such as kindness, social justice, equality, equal opportunity, strike for excellence, religion freedom. Leaders have the power and responsibility to encourage the bidding of these good values for the growth of the society. People with different background can work together for the common goods. The common goods are better living, better knowledge and happiness. Stress on mankind common destiny and to strike for more harmonies in a society. To do that first cultivate a

94. Awareness and Change

Image
For a mind to change in perception, first it needs awareness. It takes 40 years for MD and Psychologist in America to acknowledge the presence and the power of Neurofeedback. So I think it will take sometime here for our people to accept it. EEG Biofeddback has contributed to health industries, enhanced peak performance in sport, game & music, unleashed brain potential and facilitated learning. EEG training which started from USA is a relatively new industry sector and it has 50 years of history. Good outcomes of EEG Biofeedback brainwave and mind training are Olympics 2008 shooting record, World Cup 2006 Italian champion and Royal School of Music's genius musician study in 2003.

93. Stroke implies irregular blood & oxygen flow pattern in a brain

Image
Stroke is tricky, and the damaging effect of stroke is long and lasting. As the brain functions are affected and hence the bodily movement is also affected. As bloods link to the body and the mind. Any disruption of blood and oxygen flow would cause serious effect on the mind and the body. I read a good piece of information on fast stroke detector:STR S *Ask the individual to SMILE. T *Ask the person to TALK and SPEAK A SIMPLE SENTENCE (Coherently) (i.e. It is sunny out today.or any sentence in the patient's own language) R Ask him or her to RAISE BOTH ARMS." - Medicine By performing STR check , it can tell alot on the health of limbic system, the left brain, the motor functions and the health of the liver and spleen. To 'continue the STROKE' I just ask a further question of OK or not OK. If not OK then call Emergency service. Now. We have completed the 'STR OK E' checklist. This acronym helps us to remember whenever such situation pop up. Another 'sign

92. Addiction

Image
"addiction has been defined with regard solely to psychoactive substances (for example alcohol, tobacco and other drugs) which cross the blood-brain barrier once ingested, temporarily altering the chemical milieu of the brain. Many people, both psychology professionals and laymen, now feel that there should be accommodation made to include psychological dependency on such things as gambling, food, sex, pornography, computers, video games, internet, work, exercise, idolising, watching TV or certain types of non-pornographic videos, spiritual obsession, cutting and shopping so these behaviors count as 'addictions'- Wikipedia Addiction involves emotion so the stronger the emotion attachments the stronger the addictive reponses. How to overcome addiction? Here are some alternatives 1) Brainwave training 2) Addiction reduction : five steps model 3) CBT - face the problems directly 4) Remove emotional baggage(a variety of method) 5) Change to a new environment 6) Prayer, meditat

91. Develop a whole brain

Image
Our world educational systems in general are promoting deduction thinking. There are many ways to develop a whole brain. Here I am talking about an effective way to develop a whole brain. - Learning more foreign languages including dialects. In my previous posting I mentioned that induction thinking is thinking with pattern and deduction thinking is thinking with logic. Let take an example of a Chinese character “好being good”. It is in a picture form. Next character is “人People.” When we put these two characters together they form a new meaning “好人Good People.” It is still in a picture form. Similarly "big" symbolises a man opens his arms "大" dà. So Chinese language is a language with pattern forming. Let’s look at English words, ABC,ACB or ACD; it does not form a word. But ACE is a word. There is a lot of alphabet combination to form English words. You have to be very logical to learn those words. English language trains one to be good at logical thinking and log

90. An effective mind process needs anchoring framework.

Image
Deduction 演绎(From Big to Small) Deduction: Deductive reasoning works from the zoom out view to zoom in view. For example, it starts with a theory, hypotheses forming, information gathering and then confirm the findings. Deduction method has more certainty in carry out the exploration. Thus deduction is inference by reasoning from generals to particulars. It is more of a mental process. We start with a set of possibilities and reduce it until a smaller subset remains. For example, a murder mystery is an exercise in deduction. Deduction is logic it works well with maths and language learning. Sir Charles Robert Darwin was the epitome of deduction thinker. Induction: Induction 归纳(From Small to Big) Inductive reasoning works differently, moving from zoom in view to zoom out view. For example, it begins with instinct observation, detect patterns, formulate hypotheses, exploring and observe all alternatives and come to general conclusions and theories. Induction method involves more risk and

89. Student Teacher Relations

Image
In ancient China, a good Chinese physicist did not look for a patient; a good one did not treat a patient when the patient had cast doubt of the physicist ability. Instead a patient took initiative to seek treatment. In the religious front, a follower has to look for a teacher to get its blessing. As Swami Rama said "It is true that when a student is ready, the master appears and confers the appropriate initiation." When gurus and religious leaders start to look for their prospects their relationship won’t last. Similarly in EEG Asia, we promote our service to the world and let our clients decide, weighing the financial and time implications over better functioning brain for the rest of their lives.

88. Haze Again

Image
PSI 98 We have no haze pollution since 2006. Now the haze comes back again. Thousand of hotspot was reported from Indonesia islands. The haze travels hundreds of mile to reach our shore carries with dust, smoke and pollutant. The PSI reaches 108, this is an unhealthy level. Symptoms of haze attack are dried throat, running nose, sneeze, coughing, irritation, more asthma attack, allergy, respiratory difficulty etc This reminds me of our EEG Biofeedback original space research project. Sterman used cats to study how the effects of rocket fuels on the alertness of cats. 50 cats were exposed to rocket fuel. Minutes later they vomited, made noise, salivated and panted. Most went into seizure. However 10 of Sterman EEG trained cats, 7 of them showed significantly delayed the onset of seizure and 3 of them showed no fit at all. Brainwave training had raised their seizure threshold. When a brain shows instability, SLOW DOWN. Slow down all outdoor activities. This also upsets my running routine

87. Find Your Talent

Image
'Princess' Susan Boyle "Susan Boyle says she feels like a princess after overcoming her childhood bullying to become an international singing sensation." - msn.com She explained to talk show host Oprah Winfrey: 'I was hyperactive at school. I used the chase after them!' Having Hyperactive can be advantages in life. Now Susan Boyle is a popular international singer. Learn to know oneself and explore a hidden talent. Build Self Confidence to grow. "What you do is you do well in something and you try and gain their respect in some way, and that's what I was trying to do with my singing." - Susan Boyle Beware of fame Susan. It may be 100 times more difficult to cope with success as compared to your childhood bully and hyperactivity. The world needs to slow down, the civilisation needs to slow down. The world needs more awakened people like Susan Boyle.

86. Awakened Mind - Brain Training and Mind Coaching

Image
Expand Your Horizon - The ultimate solution When children and teenagers come to me, visit me once a week for one year long brain training and mind coaching. They should see the transformation of their brain performance and learning styles. In ancient China, scholars learned best in one is to one coaching. These scholars were good at many things ie sport, martial art, poetry just to name a few of their talents. In modern time here in EEG Asia, I would not offer subject based training because I am not a subject expert. Instead, I offer generic brain level training and mind coaching. With the training and coaching, these children and teenager will see transformation in their brain performance. They would learn new knowledge and skills in effortless ways. Brain training involves brain functionality training; specific modules of the brain will be enhanced. Synchronicity of a brain and balancing of a brain make a better brain. Mind Coaching looks at a whole brain and the interaction between

85. Incompatible Personality

Image
What is Personality? Personality is defined as the totality of character attributes and behavioral traits of a person. Personality Analysis is a methodology for categorizing the character and behavior of a person. It is very interesting to know that when two persons with opposite personality traits stay together, work together for a period of time. Relations will go sour. The relation can be friends’ relation, husband and wife relation, or business associates. What are potential areas or hot spots which spark the conflict? I can name a few reasons: - Character differences - Upbringing differences - Personal habit differences - Lacking common goals - Too judgemental - Passing unfair comment on others What can we do about it to sort out those differences? This is a very challenging situation. Be more accommodating to each other. When conflicts become severe, normally after discussion, quiet period, reconciliation and counseling, the logical solution is to stay apart. “Men's natures a

84. Genius, Awakened and Ordinary People

Image
I like this comment: "A genious is a person who has escaped the clutchings and conditionings, machinations, etc. of his society. He is born and went through the system but knows what is being done to him. From time to time, we get that person popping out, completely unscatched through the system.." - Anonymous How I see Genius and Ordinary people? I see them in terms of their ability in managing emotion. Here is my list of looping cycle: Schizophrenia (go by looping circle) Bipolar Autistic (low functional Asperger) Genius Asperger ADHD/ADD Dyslexic Awakened people with high performance mind (not necessary religious people) Ordinary people (fall into 95% percentile of a population) Schizophrenia (in looping circle) The ability of managing emotion affects our normal daily life. Do we want to be a genius or ordinary people? For Genius people their neurons are firing too aggressively hence emotional burn out is common for these groups of people. So the in-between categories are

83. Feeling Good

Image
Feeling good is different from being happy. Feeling good may have negative effects, feeling good can be addictive but be happy would not have negative effects. People tend to relate all good feeling via engaging physical senses as happiness. There are many things, events and people that make us feel good. The feeling good effects can have good and bad side effects. We feel good by taking coffee in the morning, enjoy wine at night or smoking a whole day. We feel good after buying a new car. We feel good by meeting nice people. We feel good by attending F1 race event or attending a fabulous function or foods and so on. Very soon feel good sensation will go away with the passage of events, time, people and things. Feeling good is a result of an acion or activity or possesion. If we are not careful the craving sensation of feeling good may lead us addictive to certain life styles or habits. Being happy is a state of mind or contentment. It worths investing a little time and effort for a las

82. A change in behavioural pattern

Image
Why a change in behavioural pattern is so difficult? In order for a change to take place it requires a change in intention setting, a change in thinking. A change in thinking may require a person goes through scenario analysis, weighing all pros and cons, seeing options available. Study inner strength & weakness, external threat & opportunity. "Change has a considerable psychological impact on the human mind. To the fearful it is threatening because it means that things may get worse. To the hopeful it is encouraging because things may get better. To the confident it is inspiring because the challenge exists to make things better." - King Whitney Jr.

81. Three Levels of Brain

Image
When we look at a brain of various species we are amazed to find out that human have three levels of brain. A human brain consists of 1) Reptilian brain for survival, 2) Limbic brain for emotional engagement, 3) Neocortex for thinking mind. We need to learn how to balance these three levels of brain functions to serve our daily living. The more we (human race) developed the more vulnerable we become, especially to our thinking mind.

80. Quality First

Image
Quality must come first. Whether Quality in education, or Quality in any things we do. We should stress on Quality concept in Life. Slogans are often counter productive. When one focuses on Quality (ie. system, people, workflow etc), their jobs will be recognized by others and it is just a matter of time, sooner or later the praise for a good work will prevail. I visited Finland Embassy recently; I understand that this country is doing exactly what I would like to see in pursuing a better quality culture. A good system without the support of quality exceution process is not worth looking at. This should be a key appraisal criterion for a good system at work.

79. When we are @ 79 years of age. What would we do?

Image
---------------------------------- Simon @ Mt Rinjani, Lombok. 2010 This is my blog article number 79. I want to write this blog differently... Imagine I am 79 years of age, what would I do? Imagine when one stops breathing for five minutes... One can not feel... One can not speak... ...... ... . Treasure our every six seconds of breath. For myself: I train my body, train my brain and train my mind. Adjust the loudness

78. Breaking a personal best record in sports and games

We want to break personal best records in games or sports. The question is HOW? Very few people can break their own personal best. They are reasons for that 1) Lacking a concrete plan 2) Lacking a good time table for implementation 3) Lacking Discipline 4) The mind is not ready 5) The body is not ready In the reverse order of the above list, item five may be worth considering starting first with a breakthrough plan. Ask ourselves what is our body condition. Do a a SWOT analysis for a reality check then go for it with your strategy and steady mind. We can improve our body strength through brain training and physical exercises. A simple rule of thumb: When the mind is ready train the mind. But when the mind is not ready then train the brain.

77. Living A Long Life

Image
Life Expectancy is an unusually uncertain factor in every body mind. A person has every thing: Wealth, Happiness and suddenly there is a calling from heaven. How can we live longer and this question had troubled China first Emperor Qin Shi Huang(259 BC - 210 BC). His team of medical experts went to Japan and searched for longevity medicines. There were no answers for his longevity. Now. The common notion of living a long life is having a balanced life style, eat vegetarian foods for some people, good physical exercise, stay happy and have a kind heart. How about reducing stress? How about training a brain producing more melatonin naturally? All these factors are major factors which we cannot ignore them. "Melatonin is a hormone produced by the pineal gland of all mammals, including humans. The pineal gland is a small, light-sensitive organ located in the brain that secretes melatonin only during darkness. Humans begin producing melatonin as early as 3 months old. The production o

76. ADD/Hyperactive Kids

The nature of ADHD (Attention Deficient Hyperactivity Disorder) When I talk to these kids I find them perfectly normal. They are curious, fast thinking and active. However in school they are being labeled as ADHD. Because they have the following distracting behaviors: • Frequent fidgetingg • Feels restless • Has difficulty playing quietly • Talks excessively • Always seems on the go • Has difficulty waiting his or her turn . I measure their brainwaves and I found that they are perfectly normal. Except that when they are awake they have more restless brainwaves which can be trained by either short duration of EEG Biofeedback awakened mind coaching and a longer period of neurofeedback brain training.Neurofeedback training can help these children be less restless and learn how to taking care of themselves. But, training takes time. Short term solution: Children receive medicines which contain methylphenidate, amphetamine for treatment. These medicines can help to reduce restless but this

75. What is Stress?

Image
Failure creates stress. Success also creates stress and even more. What is stress or what are stresses? According to wilipedia:" Stress is a term in psychology and biology, first coined in the biological context in the 1930s, which has in more recent decades become a commonplace of popular parlance. It refers to the consequence of the failure of an organism – human or animal – to respond appropriately to emotional or physical threats, whether actual or imagined.[1] Stress symptoms commonly include a state of alarm and adrenaline production, short-term resistance as a coping mechanism, and exhaustion, as well as irritability, muscular tension, inability to concentrate and a variety of physiological reactions such as headache and elevated heart rate.[2]" In my opinion stress is like a water pipe under pressure, it is a stored energy in a brain. Some stored energies can be dissipated over time then we would behave normally, but when the stored energy cannot be easily dissipated

74. Unconsciously Competent

I attended a concert last night @ racecourse. It was an excellent play and the weather was supered. I hope there will be a live record on this performance. When a musician has reached a peak performance state, there will be no more fear, the mind is totally alert and focus. Any environmental disturbances won't affect the performance. Below is another good piece of music.Enjoy

73. Special Needs Children

Image
"Children with behavior issues don't respond to traditional discipline. With diagnoses like ADHD, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, Dysfunction of Sensory Integration, and Tourette Syndrome, they require specialized strategies that are tailored to their specific abilities and disabilities. If those strategies are not developed and used, kids with behavior issues throw their families into chaos and are seriously at risk for school problems. Their parents need to be flexible and creative." -- Terri Mauro,About.com ADHD and Autstic Children are in fact born with patterns of brainwaves which can be put into full career advancement in sport, music and arts. Ways to train their brain into full potential may take a longer time, however to help them fine tune their brainwave pattern using mind coaching that would take a very short time to accomplish. This may be good news for children who are born with special needs who want to excel in sports, music and arts. With a success story

72. Brainwaves determine Performance

Image
Our Brainwaves determine our behaviours and performance 24 hours a day. Brainwaves influence our awake state, NREM and REM sleeping states. “Brainwave determines Intention, Intention determines Perspective, Perspective determines Behaviour Behaviour determines Performance. - Simon Kong” Recent research findings have confirmed that brainwaves are not just electrical impulses or wave signals. They have more complicated functions which serve our body well than just simply mechanical vibration of cells which keeps us alive. The best way to look at brainwave activities is to relate its roles as neuro-chemical synthesis and homeostasis balancing in our brain. How neurochemicals do to our brain which produce changes in behaviors and performance? We must strike a balance between excitatory neurochemicals and inhibitory neurochemicals. The Ying Yang Theory of a human body might have its neurochemical origin.

71. A Good Home - It depends on all efforts put in by generations of people

What do we want our home to be? Socially Safe,Least Expensive Living, Environmental Clean & Green (Water, Air, and Land), Less crowded place, Less Dust and More High Tech Industrial Parks... Each generation of Singaporeans has to contribute to the country well being. Kit Chan is a home grown musician. She sings, she understands, she appreciates… Kit Chan lives with a Singaporean experience.

70. Is Meditation Good or Bad ?

Image
The ways we define meditation will determine the quality of meditation - Simon Kong This is a subject it may have spiritual and non spiritual implication. Why we need to meditate? For our healthy body? or for spiritual connection? Set our intention right. Unless we have an EEG equipment standby to verify, do not ask for a result of meditation as we have no clues whether we have done it right for now or for the past years. The fact is that when we want to get fast result the more we won't get result. Meditation is based on feeling... different people have different feeling. My suggestion to people who are engaging in meditation: Except for one who has a deep spiritual pursue or connection. Do not over do it. When you are not feeling well, stop it. Improper meditation may lead to halluciations. Do not indulge with meditation. Meditation should be easy and trouble free. Meditation is not a process, meditation is a state. There is no need to lock yourslef in the dark room or punish you

69. Sustainable World

Image
Landfilled Island from the Seas I think our world is facing a huge problem. Rubbish which we generated is going to give us huge problems ahead. The problems are in three areas 1) Too much rubbish. Everyday we produce too much rubbish. When we visit super market we can see a piece of food or fruit, it has 200% or 300% packaging all over it. We are in the era of over-packaging. 2) Too much of burning: Every day we burn away the unused petrol waste, we burn away the rubbish. We will generate extra tons of CO2, this CO2, heat and water vapor trapped in the air. When it cools down the rain will just pouring over the land. The water is not going to falling back to the ocean. It will continue falling on the farming land. Massive floods will occur on the lands everywhere. 3) The present uncontrollable spending economical structure will bring the world to a point of self destruction. We cleverly created a self-locked system which prevents us from getting out of this dire situation. We are the v

68. Why Human Being have so much trouble?

Image
This question has not been answered for thousand of years. From the author of Peace and War to Noble Peace Prize winners. At times, ten hundreds year ago most Chinese believed that they were the most civilised human being on earth. A few hundreds year ago westeners wanted to expand their market shares due to industrialization; some of them believed that they were the best. some British, Spain, Norwegian, Dutch, German, French and even American beleived they are the best. In the east since meiji era, many Japanese people believed that they were peculiar people. On the religion front. Religious supremacy was dominating the conflict. With Race, Religion and these were complicated by economic domination, power domination, and this is the situation our world is in now. Let's step back for a while. Imagine we are the only people in this world, we are the same as a human kind, shall we think like a human being as we are human being who are born with the same birth right and with the same

67. Memory and Creativity

Image
Questions on Memory and Creativity: Why I combine these two subjects? Can we train memory power? Can we be creative? Now let’s look at these two subjects separately Memory: The classic text of memory on a scientific ground is a book written by Eric R Kandel, a winner of the noble prize. He discovered the molecules of memory. Last year I attended a talk by a practical memory guru. He name is Nishant. He can impress you with his number memory and memory of thousands of unrelated items But he told us that when we was a teenager he had an ordinary memory. So Memory is a learnt skill. Creativity: Edward De Bono is another guru on creativity subject. In his latest book titled: Think. The first topic in that book is creativity. He asks this provocative question. Is creativity a talent or a skill? Obviously if creativity is a talent then we would not have spent so many hours writing a chapter of a book on creativity. So Creativity is a learnt skill. Creativity is problem identification ie by

66. Obesity

Image
If our BMI is above 30 we are considered obese. Why Obese? The likely answers would be 1) Eating habits and lifestyle 2) Genetic make up 3) Lack of physical exercise (especially at the older age) 4) Sleep problems ie sleep Apnea 5) Lack of oxygen in the brain 6) Woman's weight before she becomes pregnant and her weight gain during pregnancy 7) No Breast-feeding after birth ( Breast fed children are 22 percent less likely to become obese.) 8) Foods allergy and sensitive gut 9) Hormones inbalance 10) Insulin resistance The likely solutions would be addressing the above ten possible weaknesses in our body and mind. To overcome obesity the basic principle of energy balance applied in most cases: that is input is equal to output or output is greater than input On a brain level, the most important thing is to train the brain to keep in touch with the body feeling. Brainwave training would help. Contact Simon Kong of EEG Asia

65. Examination Fever and Working Stress

Beside brainwave training and happy awakened mind coaching. There are many ways one can destress from exams fever and working stress. For example, listening to The Listening Programe for the brain. It comes with 10 CDs and a destress CD. Others such as engaging pyhsical exercise and with proper meditation techniques can help us desterss as well. Certain types of brainwave music can help. Paul Collier is a genius, he writes brainwave music for example like this one: I plan to compose a few brainwave music for creativity and memory work this year. Right now I have created a brainwave music for easy listening & relaxation for your ears and body.

64. Loneliness is a silent killer

Image
Train Our Mind Loneliness is nothing to do with time and activity level. We can be busy and yet feeling being lonely. Loneliness can strike a person at any age, young and old, rich or poor. When it strikes ,it has bad emotional and mental consequences. Loneliness is different from being alone. Set aside time for being alone every day is a good strategy. When being alone one can relax, clear and calm the mind, doing self reflection and even set time for prayer or meditation. Once we are able to manage being alone than we can contain loneliness. Our mind stored all sorts of memory, and loneliness always bring out bad memory from the past. Because memory retrival when loneliness strikes, it is ineviatbly that bad memory surface first. Negative emotion comes first, when negative emotion overpowered our mind then many bad feelings would appear freely even one try not to think about it. This is how the mind works. Avoid loneliness at any time, set life goal whether it is big or small, easy or

63. Qi - The vital energy force of a body

Image
My discussion of QI here, it has no religious implication. Qi is in a form of energy which flows in a body and supported by earth magnetic field. When harmonial vibration of body parts, Qi flow. When Qi accumulated in certain parts of body, they create resonance to promote blood flood.- Simon Kong Qi is energy circulating in our body in a dynamic state, it has no form or shape. Qi is a form of energy flows within the body. With practice some people have the ability to make Qi flow out of the body. When Qi is abundance, some people use Qi to heal others. Qi is measurable, it has infrared and electricity component but so far the measurment is not scientific enough to convince the general public. By telling people to feel Qi has made the understanding of Qi become complicated and hence add to its mystery. Depending where you come from, the present ways of explanation of existence of Qi make one's religion belief even stronger. Most of the time the explanation confuses people. Dependin

62. A Flower of Love

Image
Do the thing what you love. Love the thing what you do. - Simon Kong The edelweiss is a popular flower in Austria, and was featured on the old 1 Schilling coin. It can also now be seen on the 2 cent Euro coin. We found it also in Mount Rinjani, Lombok.- It symbolises Love Lombok's Flower of Love - Edelweiss Edelweiss CAPTAIN: Edelweiss, Edelweiss Every morning you greet me Small and white clean and bright You look happy to meet me Blossom of snow may you bloom and grow Bloom and grow forever Edelweiss,Edelweiss Bless my homeland forever. CAPTAIN, MARIA, THE CHILDREN AND CHORUS: Small and white clean and bright You look happy to meet me Blossom of snow may you bloom and grow Bloom and grow forever Edelweiss,Edelweiss Bless my homeland forever. 61. Creativity

This is a subject which attracting more debates over the years. Creativity is not by rote learning, not a knolwledge box, or something which we can possess it physically. Creativity is a state of mind. Many of us are aware of many creativity techniques, but after we have studied this subject and we normally put all the notes aside or displayed them on the bookshelf. Very soon or later we would return to our non-creative self. Knowledege is power but put knowledge into practice is creativity. Creativity is not a content or subject matter. Again it is a skill set, it is a mind state. It is an AHA state. Having more knowledge do not give us creativity. Creativity comes from flexibility. Creativity comes from courage. When people are self motivated, taking ownership, taking initiative, know what they want and where they are heading for, making courageous decision and trust their own instincts and themselves more and all these elements are essential for creativity. Aware, Acknowledge and Act

60. Mountain Sickness (Altitude Sickness)

Image
Altitude Sickness "The first acute stage is called, naturally enough, acute mountain sickness. It can cause headache, insomnia, dizziness, fatigue, nausea and vomiting. The next, more serious stage is high-altitude cerebral edema, also known as HACE, brain swelling that is potentially fatal." "A climber with HACE may experience amnesia, confusion, delusions, emotional disturbance, personality changes and loss of consciousness." - Scientific America, April2008 This topic of Altitude Sickness in some ways is related to Allergy symptoms. Altitude sickness or mountain sickness is generally an indication of blood vessel in a brain swells and restricts the blood flow in the brain, there is less oxygen being supplied to the brain, as a result the following symptoms may happen. Symptoms of Altitude Sickness. It varies from minor to severe case. Note that this symptom list is not in severity order): Loss of muscle strength Fatigue Vomiting ( it can be due to over e

Allergy can attack anybody at any time. I am doing a research into allergy prevention now. "Common allergic reactions include eczema, hives, hay fever, asthma attacks, food allergies, and reactions to the venom of stinging insects such as wasps and bees."-wikipedia Allergy is a form of body fight and flight response, it manifests in most common areas including skin rashes, ulcers, body pains, joint stiffness and skin inflammatory. Triggers of allergic response can be foods, insects, flowers and odors. However the basic brain response to the allergic substances is still unknown. Doctors are usualy prescribe normal anti-inflammatory cream, oral medicine and even injection to reduce alergic symptoms. The cure is yet to be found. I intend to study Neurofeedback to find solutions to allergy and related symptoms. Taking a cold bath in the morning may be a good start.

Developing brainwave beauty is far more important than developing our physical and mental well being. We always need to remind ourselves that achieving high performance mind state is a process rather than a destiny. We must search for a true understanding and first making good intention in our mind whatever we are undertaking, because intentions set the direction of what we are doing. The intention has to be creative rather than being competitive. Intention determines the way we analyse things and feeling for others, behaviour and action follow suit
