The meaning of EQ (Emotional Quotient) is very difficult to comprehend and if I would express it in an Ego term or equivalent then it is much easier for people to understand it below.

Many learning difficulties and poor human relation are actually the effects of us having very high ego state (Low EQ ) which may be linked to the brain function and upbringing or limited life experience and exposure.

Once we have high ego state we will likely refuse to listen, we would think that we are the only best; we want to win at all times. me me me first mentality.

Once the state of mind is in a high tension; hyper vigilant and highly self glorified where the body always want to react to any threat situation, high ego state (Low EQ behaviours) set in.

High ego state can be trained by brain and mind training so that it can lower our response down to less a reactive state. You may called it as mindfulness state when both body and mind are relaxed but consciousness remains alert. That is also called high EQ or receptive common sense.

Many disadvantages of us having high ego:

Refuse to communicate with others

Refuse to accept own self

Refuse to learn from experience.

First thing to do when one has high ego state: Think out of the box, do something proactively; seek opinions from others.
